About Us

What do we do?

We work together with coastal communities, research partners and policy makers who share our passion: taking evidence-based actions towards sustainability and equity. 

We conduct transdisciplinary action research on marine and coastal issues, with a focus on Southeast Asia. 

We learn from local and indigenous communities about their knowledge and practices in order to build their capacities to respond and adapt to changes in their environment, and to carve out their own pathways towards sustainability. 

We work with stakeholders and decision-makers to support them to make evidence-based policies and strategies to improve and sustain the well-being of coastal communities across Southeast Asia and beyond.
